8-5-1. About Indexing

Even you use application Finder indexing, you have to update Magellan's index separately for Magellan's index search, because Finder does not update index of Magellan. It is strongly recommended to make index of your email by application Magellan using Sherlock index function.

How to make index

Select Sherlock index from Mail menu. The first time you use this function, select either of Rebuild or update button. Magellan builds complete index of your entire mails.
It takes considerable time. (i.e. about 3 hours/5000 mails)
Click Update button next time. Magellan updates index of new mails. It is recommended to update button periodically.

8-5-2. About Sherlock Index

Sherlock creates an index of your disk to search for contents. You can search in any language. For more information, see Mac help of the Finder.
If you cannot get appropriate search result, try another keyword. Indefinite and definite article cannot be search keyword. Sherlock searches all files in your drive, not only Magellan mail messages. It may take considerable time.

TIPS About Relevance
Index search is suited for fuzzy matching rather than complete matching.
You can find exact result filtering similar keywords by changing relevance.
